Those who don’t pray tend to think that prayer consists of us talking to God and giving Him a shopping list of things which we’d like, but without much hope that He will answer.  Of course prayer is very different to that, hence the heading Conversation & God, because conversation is two-way.

Conversation starts with coming into the presence of God, just as we would come into a friend’s presence to chat with them.  There are some titles here that explore the concept of hosting and carrying His presence, and others that are aids to help us to do just that .  Of course, we want to live in that sense of His presence all day, but we begin with our personal devotions, or ‘quiet times’, which set us up for the day.  Some resources here are for your devotions, and there are some that you may not have thought of before, such as devotional colouring books.

Prophecy & listening to God are the other side of conversation, and it is amazing that Almighty God speaks to us in so many ways.  But He really does speak into our own lives, and He gives us prophecy to encourage others.  Of course, listening and prophesying are a vital part of effective Intercession & prayer, as we learn to pray effectively by praying what is on God’s heart.  Titles on the courts of heaven put words on an aspect of prayer that is as relevant to our own lives and immediate circle as it is to nations.
