For your devotions
I hope that the Bible is the first book that you turn to when spending time with God. But here are some other enriching resources for your devotions, and to complement your Bible reading. These can also be helpful if you are going through a dry time spiritually and finding it hard to engage with the Bible.
SOME KEY TITLES: Jesus calling is a classic devotional book. It’s format is simple – some Scriptures and a short devotional thought for each day. However, it is appreciated by both veteran Christians and new believers. It is available in a range of editions.
Celtic daily prayer – Books One and Two are wonderfully rich resources. They are full of stories, illustrations, meditations, prayers, and Scriptures. These are based on the ‘old paths’ of the Celtic saints.
Inspirational Colouring Books are based on inspiring Bible verses. They encourage you to be creative while meditating on God’s Word. Creative Colouring Journals combine Colouring pages with Journalling spaces and some devotional prompts.
I also recommend tPt – the Passion translation as a wonderful way to engage afresh with the heart of God. You can see the range of tPt – the Passion translation here.
For your devotions, you might also consider our Audio Bibles. Hearing rather than reading the Word gives a fresh perspective on the message of the Bible. Comic strip Bibles likewise give a different perspective, as the stories come alive before your eyes. You can see our range of Audio Bibles and Comic Strip Bibles here.
