St Augustine penned a very true comment.  ‘You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in You’.  It is part of the human condition to desire rest.  But how do we find genuine rest of heart?  We find it in Him.  We find it in discovering the presence of God.  But how do we do that amidst the busyness of other things?

SOME KEY TITLES:  Nothing nourishes our souls like being aware of God with us.  More specifically we are created to sense the presence of Father God, or our Saviour Jesus, or the Holy Spirit, or of all three as the Trinity.  But sometimes we need help to focus.  Some of these books are about how to develop our times with God, and how to live our daily lives more aware of His presence.  Hosting the presence looks at how Bible characters hosted God’s presence.  It reminds us that we are people whom ‘God wants to be with’.  Presence carriers also considers how Bible characters aligned themselves with God’s presence.  But it also warns us that the presence of God always brings change.

Other titles are an aid to developing these times, eg  devotional books, prayer books, and colouring books.  The latter are a great resource to engage our hands and quieten our souls, so that our spirits can tune in to God’s presence.  When we do that, we find the rest that we need to face the day.
