This pack of Gift wrap & tags - Ichthus fish - Blue is ideal to wrap up a present of a Christian book.

The Ichthus symbol resembles the profile of a fish, drawn as two intersecting arcs.  The initials of the Greek words 'Jesus Christ Son of God Saviour' make up an acrostic which spells the Greek word for fish.  In times of persecution, early  Greek speaking Christians used this secret symbol to identify themselves to other believers.  It has been said that when a Christian met someone that they didn't know, they would draw one arc of the fish symbol on the ground.  If the other person completed the symbol with the other arc, it indicated that they were both Christians.  In the 1970s, this symbol was revived.

On the wrap, the background is in a blue which gradually turns from paler to darker diagonally across the sheet.  The Ichthus or fish symbol is in a contrasting blue, with an attractive stylised fish scale design.  The tags are in an enlarged version of the fish scale motif.

Inside the pack you will find two sheets of high quality wrapping paper and two coordinating gift tags.  The wrapping paper is a good weight at 90 gsm and has a discreet sheen without being glossy, as have the gift tags.  The individual sheets of paper are 70.0 cms wide by 50.0 cms long.  The tags are 7.9 cms wide by 5.9 cms high.  It is important to me that both the paper and the card are completely recyclable at your local recycling depot, as they have no plastic coating, glitter or anything else that would prevent them from being accepted for recycling.

Each gift wrap sheet comes folded to 17.5 cms wide and 25.0 cms high.  The sheets and tags come packed in cellophane.  Unfortunately cellophane is not generally recyclable, but it does keep the gift wrap & tags pristine.  The price includes standard rate VAT.
