You can bless a prisoner by purchasing one or more books which I will then deliver on your behalf to Release to gift to individual prisoners.  But if you prefer not to decide on a particular book or books, you can instead purchase Unspecified Books Behind Bars here for any value of your choice for prisoners.  Then Release will guide me as to which books to send to them on your behalf.  This is particularly useful when Release or a Prison Chaplain need a particular book for a specific prisoner.

Equally you can use Unspecified Books Behind Bars to purchase books for prison ministry.  These books serve as training material for those already volunteering, or interested in volunteering with Release. Release runs a series of programmes within prisons.  These include Alpha, Addiction Recovery, Communication, and Parenting.  In addition, they visit, mentor, support and encourage many individual prisoners every week.  You can find out more about Release at release.ie.  You can contact them at info@release.ie.
