Smile, laugh or cry your way through A mule in green pastures, as Helen Wheeler encourages you to persevere and enter into the destiny that God has for you.

Helen, a local Greystones author, was born into a privileged background and, though her childhood was not without difficulty, she blossomed in her career as a teacher and sportswoman, captaining the Irish Women's Hockey team in a tour of the USA.  But in her mid-thirties, married and with three young children, her life hit the rocks as her husband was made redundant and she suffered serious injury in a car accident.  At this time she turned to God in a way that she had never needed to do as a strong and confident young woman.

By the grace of God and the patient support of family and friends, her gifts and talents have been enriched and her health restored as she has learnt, like Jacob of old, to trust in the strength and sufficiency of God.

I loved this book!  Helen Wheeler writes from the heart.  A mule in green pastures is the story of her life, her family and her journey to, and with, God.  It is funny, thought-provoking, refreshingly honest and written with great charm and wisdom.  Helen's story will leave you both deeply moved and utterly uplifted.  A wonderful achievement, this is one to treasure.  Lise-Ann McLaughlin, actress and writer

What am amazing book.  I have laughed much and shed a few tears as well.  This is a tale of an ordinary woman in the hands of an extraordinary God.  It will be an encouragement and joy to all who read it!  Elma Barbali

Helen Wheeler lives in Greystones, Co Wicklow.  Her motto is If you get the 'nudge' do not be afraid to 'budge', and you will have to read her book to understand what she means by that!
