The supernatural life is a life where we follow Jesus’ example.  He only did what He saw the Father doing.  Then we begin to see answers to the prayer, ‘Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven’.  These authors have lived this supernatural life to some extent, or in some particular way.  So they all want to share this experience with others.  But a common denominator is that they all desire more of God, even before greater fullness of His kingdom.

Many of these authors have established cultures within their churches where healing is normal, whether physical or emotional.  They encourage us to expect miracles, not just inside the four walls of church.  But also for the people with whom we spend our daily lives.  They urge us to step out of ‘Christian fatalism’, and instead to partner with the Holy Spirit, and to exercise His spiritual gifts.

Some teach about the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the context of healing.  Others share in the context of evangelism.  Quite often these two go hand in hand.  Others are called to exercise the gift of discernment in praying for businesses.  Others are called to minister to prisoners.  As we draw near to God in dependence, and cooperate with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we ourselves are transformed.  Transformed people are used by God in transformation of the world around them.  Some of these authors recount amazing stories of God at work in impossible situations in their own communities.
